The Golden State Warriors are coming off a shocking upset loss to the Atlanta Hawks. No one expected them to fall to an Atlanta team that has a losing record this season. And Steve Kerr was not happy with his team and the way they defended. But could the Warriors have outscored the Hawks if Stephen Curry had played against them?
While that’s something to think about, we’ll never know for sure. What we do know, though, is whether Steph will be backing up the Dubs in their next game against the Miami Heat. So let’s see what the injury report says.

Golden State Warriors vs Miami Heat Injury Report – will Steph Curry play in the Dubs’ upcoming game?
Steph Curry suffered a pelvic contusion after two Raptors players blocked his path as went to lay up the ball. He missed the rest of that game due to this injury. But thanks to ESPN’s Shams Charania, we soon learned that Steph’s injury wasn’t as serious as expected.
This is why Steph is listed as QUESTIONABLE on the injury report for the Miami Heat game. Once again, we have an update regarding his condition, thanks to Shams Charania. He wrote on X, “Stephen Curry is traveling to join the Warriors in Miami, and his status for Tuesday’s game against the Heat depends on treatment response for his pelvic bruise over next two days, sources tell ESPN. This is great news for Dubs fans. Away fixtures like these are never easy and having Steph back in the team will be a huge boost to the Warriors. However, if he doesn’t respond well to the treatment then you’ll have to hope that Jimmy Butler and the breakout stars like Brandin Podziemski and Quinten Post can bail you out.
That said, there are two players on the Warriors’ injury report. Well, the second player is Gary Payton Jr. He finds himself on the report due to a nasal bone fracture. But his status has been upgraded to AVAILABLE. So expect to see him out there with a facemask.
What’s your perspective on:
Is Steph Curry the only hope for the Warriors to regain their winning form on this road trip?
Have an interesting take?

Golden State Warriors vs Miami Heat – predicted starting lineup and depth chart
The Dubs will be ready to go after that tough loss in Atlanta. But it’s worth remembering that they’re on a 16-4 run with Jimmy Butler in the team. And despite players like Draymond Green underperforming, he still remains an imposing defensive presence on a Warriors team that sorely lacks it. Moreover, we expect Steph Curry to play this game if all goes well. So things won’t be easy for Miami either. And here’s what the Warriors team that’ll take them on might look like:
POSITION | STARTER | 2nd UNIT | 3rd UNIT |
PG | Stephen Curry (DD) | Brandin Podziemski | Pat Spencer |
SG | Brandin Podziemski | Buddy Hield | Gary Payton Jr |
SF | Moses Moody | Gary Payton II | Jimmy Butler III |
PF | Jimmy Butler III | Jonathan Kuminga | Draymond Green |
C | Draymond Green | Quinten Post | Kevon Looney |

Even with Steph Curry in the lineup, the Heat won’t go down easily. Moreover, Miami are 3-2 in their last 5 head-to-head games against the Dubs. Just goes to show that they know how to beat the Dubs. So this time around, the onus is on Steph Curry and company to make sure they can win the second game of this six-game road trip.
But what do you think? Can the Dubs get it done? Let us know!
