The Golden State Warriors start off their 2023-24 campaign from where they left in the 2023 playoffs. Stephen Curry and his men suffered a 4-2 loss against the Los Angeles Lakers in playoffs second round. Following that, the Dubs have regrouped and roped in a better roster in the offseason. Importantly, they are all set to take on LeBron James & Co in the pre-season opener on October 7. However, key player details, starting line-up, Steph’s availability seemed a bit hazy but head coach Steve Kerr recently cleared the air.
Several teams including the Dubs came in front of press for their official media day on Monday. The reporters threw in their doubts, rumors at the players and management that were making the rounds in the offseason. In the case of Dubs, after the inclusion of Chris Paul, fans always have had doubts about the starting line up. Fortunately, Kerr remained candid throughout the press meet and revealed the line up.

Even though it’s a warm-up game ahead of the regular season, the Dubs can take their revenge on October 7. It would be more special for the fans if Stephen Curry also has his hand in it. Fortunate enough for the fans, the Baby-faced Assassin is all set to take the court on 7th, said Steve Kerr.
The Athletic‘s Anthony Slater churned in the big questions at the press conference. He asked Kerr about the starting line-up in the Draymond Green, who has injured his ankle during a training session. Kerr added, “Those five guys will start the game… just tweet that out.” The five guys include, Steph, Klay Thompson, Chris Paul, Andrew Wiggins, and Kevon Looney.

Now that Green isn’t available for the game, Kerr had an easy task to pick his starting line-up. But, it’s really a task when DrayMagic is fully fit.
When will Draymond Green return?
During a pick up game in the practice session, Green sprained his ankle, which had immediately swollen his ankle. Several reports suggested that the 4x NBA Champion could miss out 3-6 weeks until completely recovering from the sprain. Moreover, Green addressed his injury during the press meet. He said, “I feel good. I feel like I’m improving fast. I’m a pretty fast healer. Didn’t quite foresee this coming into the season but everything happens for a reason,” during the media day.
