Orlando Magic fans were chanting “We want Boston!” towards the end of their Play-In game against the Atlanta Hawks. Two crushing losses later, the Orlando Magic trail the Boston Celtics 2-0 in the first round of the Playoffs. Clearly, wanting all the smoke hasn’t gone their way in this series. But Paolo Banchero and company still have a shot at redemption.

And they will need to treat this game like it’s do-or-die. However, will injuries hinder their efforts at the last moment against Boston ahead of game 3? Only way to find out is to see what the latest injury report submitted by the Magic says.

Orlando Magic Injury Report – Will Paolo Banchero play in Game 3 against the Celtics?

Across both games against Boston in this series, Paolo remains the best player for the Orlando Magic. Game 1 at the TD Garden was a one-man show as Paolo seemed to be the only player keeping the Magic even remotely in the game. He led the team in points, rebounds, and assists in Game 1. And he led them in points in the second game. So will he be there to repeat his heroics in Game 3?

Well, the Magic’s injury report doesn’t have Paolo Banchero listed on their injury report. And there have been no reports of him suffering an injury during practice either. This means one thing. Paolo Banchero is AVAILABLE for selection in Game 3 as the Magic host Boston.

However, the same does not hold true for Jalen Suggs. He’s listed as OUT with a torn ACL. In March, he underwent an arthroscopic surgery to remove cartilage from his knee. And it’s also why he’s not expected to return for the rest of the Magic’s season. In a similar vein, Moritz Wagner is also OUT of the Boston Game. He, too, tore his ACL and also underwent season-ending surgery earlier this year. So don’t expect either of these two to make an appearance in Game 3 at the Kia Center.

What’s your perspective on:

With Tatum possibly out, is this the Magic's golden chance to turn the series around?

Have an interesting take?

On the other side of the court, the Boston Celtics are at risk of missing two of their most important players. Jayson Tatum and Jrue Holiday are listed as DOUBTFUL and QUESTIONABLE, respectively. This may present an opportunity for the Magic to capitalize upon.

Nevertheless, as far as injuries go, the Magic are in a decent position. So what does that mean for the squad head coach Jamahl Mosley picks?

Orlando Magic vs Boston Celtics – predicted starting lineup and depth chart

Heading into Game 3, Mosley has nearly the full strength of the Orlando Magic roster at his disposal. That will make naming his squad quite an easy task for the Magic head coach. So, here’s how Orlando might line up to face the Celtics in Game 3.

The Celtics may once again be without Jayson Tatum after he suffered a bone bruise in Game 1. And a second game in a row without Tatum in the squad may be the crack in the Celtics’ armor that the Magic are looking for. Despite this absence, though, the Celtics still have heavy-hitters like Jaylen Brown and likely Kristaps Porzingis.

So, even without Jayson Tatum, the Magic will need to play much better basketball than they have in these last 2 games to even stand a chance at beating the Celtics. Simply put, they’ll need to play this game like their postseason hangs in the balance—because it does.
