There, he honed his skills and played alongside players like Tidjane Salaün. His potential was clear from an early age, and by the time he reached 16, he was already making waves in France’s basketball scene.

In 2021, Dadiet made his LNB Pro A debut for Paris Basketball. He was just 16 years old, but he had an impact, scoring seven points in eight minutes in his first game for the senior team. That season, he played in eight games, quickly earning a reputation as a rising star. It was clear that his journey was just beginning.

Seeking further development, the hooper moved to Germany in 2022 to join Ratiopharm Ulm. But a contractual issue blocked his way as he wasn’t able to play for Ulm until January 2023. However, he persevered, joining Ulm’s developmental team, Orange Academy. His stats averaged 16 points and 4.2 rebounds per game—showing that he was ready to take the next step. He also got his first taste of top-level action, appearing in one game for the senior squad.

By the 2023-24 season, the hoopster had firmly cemented his place on Ulm’s first team. Well, his hard work wasn’t unnoticed. He soon gained recognition as an NBA prospect, attracting the attention of the New York Knicks.

On May 2, 2024, he declared for the NBA draft, marking the next pivotal chapter of his career. Well, who knew that in less than two months he would have been selected?

Yes, on June 26, 2024, the Knicks selected him with the 25th overall pick in the first round of the NBA draft. This makes him one of the four French players chosen this season. However, the team officially signed him on July 5. Unlike every other hooper, it was a dream come true for him, because making it to the NBA is one thing, and making it to the league being a non-American is another thing.
