The American Airlines Center will witness the Dallas Mavericks go against the Portland Trail Blazers, but will the home hero, Luka Doncic, be a part of this matchup? Such concerns are genuine, as the Mavs are facing some serious injuries. It is one of the questions that remain in the minds of Mavs’ fans. So, let’s find out and see what is happening.

Against Stephen Curry & Co., the Slovenian superstar injured his heel after taking an inadvertent kick. As a result, he missed the following two games against the Clippers. Well, this time, there’s hope as he is reported as “questionable.” Yes, status gives relief, but last week in practice, he played for 15 minutes and showed some shots but was unable to be back on-court. So, Doncic’s status comes with a doubt. However, the Mavs are facing some other injuries, too.

Their guard Brandon Williams is still recovering from his right thumb injury, so he remains “out” against the Portland Trail Blazers. This will be his fifth straight game to be missed. Additionally, Jaden Hardy also continues to remain “out” due to his right ankle sprain. And with that, here is their last injury, Dante Exum. The hooper sustained a wrist injury during training camp, which led to surgery. He has missed all the games so far, and there is no update on when he will return. But the Trail Blazers have a different story.

Their first hooper is Dalano Banton, who is “out” due to his hip injury. This will be the third straight game that he will be missing out on due to his injury. Next up is Matisse Thybulle, who is continuing to rest due to a right ankle sprain. The hooper underwent an MRI to confirm a grade 2 sprain of the right ankle. He was expected to miss three to six weeks, and there is no update from then.
