The Dallas Mavericks and Houston Rockets meet at the Toyota Center at 7:00 PM ET on Sunday. Both teams are riding on a high coming into tonight’s contest. The Mavs are on a six-game winning streak while the Rockets are cruising with a 11-game streak. The two have squared off twice this season, and the victory has been equally split with Houston winning the last time they met.
But looking at the conference standings, Dallas is in a better position than the Rockets. Houston is just one game behind the Dubs for the 10th rank with a 38-35 record. Meanwhile, Luka Doncic and Co. currently sit sixth in the West with a 44-29 record. And the major reason for the Mavs’ great season is none other than the ‘Robin’ of Dallas. Doncic has been a constant for the team throughout the season, often taking over games and overpowering opponents himself.
That said, the recent injury report shows the Slovenian guard listed as ‘Questionable’ due to right knee soreness. The discomfort was visible in their previous victory over the Kings. After the game, Doncic said that both his knees were a little troubling, with the left knee bleeding a little. He had fallen on the right knee twice and his step back also seemed to have irritated the area. Nonetheless, he sounded optimistic about the Rockets matchup.

Aside from Luka, only Josh Green remains on the injury report and he continues to be ‘Out’ with a right ankle sprain. On the Rockets’ side, Cam Whitmore is listed as ‘Probable’ with a right knee sprain while Steven Adams (right knee PCL surgery), Tari Eason (left tibia surgery), and Alperen Sengun (right ankle sprain) are ‘Out’ as they continue recovering from their injuries.
Dallas Mavericks vs Houston Rockets depth chart
The Rockets were a welcome surprise for the season. The breakout season of Turkish native Alperen Sengun proved to be the catalyst for the change. With the addition of veterans Fred VanVleet and Dillon Brooks, the whole team shaped up to be the surprise egg the fans didn’t know they needed.
Given that Whitmore’s been sidelined for some time, Brooks, Thompson, or Green will likely take his place. That said, let’s take a look at their depth chart.
