After a minor halt in their momentum, the Lakers are buzzing again. They won their last two games in dominant fashion against two elite Western Conference teams, Grizzlies and Rockets. Hoping to continue this run, they will face one of their biggest rivals tonight—Warriors. But will they have to do it without their superstar LeBron James? Probably not!
Well, there were some concerns about LBJ’s availability as he is still feeling the effects of the groin injury he suffered last month against the Celtics. But the Lakers’ latest injury report has listed him probable for tonight. That means the four-time champ is highly likely to suit up against Stephen Curry and Co.
LeBron has not missed a game since returning from his seven-game hiatus a couple of weeks ago against the Bulls. Although he initially showed signs of rust with some inefficient offensive performances, that issue is also fading away gradually with each game. Against the Rockets on Monday, he scored 16 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Sure, it was not a typical high scoring night from LeBron. But he contributed in multiple ways—getting 2 steals, 2 blocks, and 4 assists.

Moreover, everyone knows James balls out whenever he faces the Warriors. In their three previous meetings this season, he has averaged 32.6 points and secured a double-double on all three occasions. More importantly, the LA team is undefeated against Stephen Curry and Co. this season. So, they will be expecting a similar performance from the King tonight. Further boosting the Lakers’ chances, they are likely to enter the game at complete strength.

Luka Doncic avoids Lakers injury report despite major scare against Rockets
Another star whose health posed huge concern was Luka Doncic. While he has already been playing through an ankle injury, the Slovenian star also suffered a blow to his elbow after taking some nasty bumps during Monday’s game. Concerns grew when he attended the post-game presser with his elbow completely wrapped. When asked how it was feeling, Luka replied, “Terrible.”

Fortunately, he said it with a huge smile and assured that he would be fine in a couple of days. That’s exactly what has happened as Doncic is not on the team’s injury report despite the scare. So, LeBron and Luka are likely to lead the charge against the Warriors. Meanwhile, the only other player confirmed out is Maxi Kleber, who is still recovering from his foot injury. But he has never suited up for the Lakers, so his absence will have no impact on tonight’s game.

If LeBron suits up, the Lakers will likely be at complete strength. That’s great news considering every game is crucial for the final playoff seeding. With the Nuggets losing last night’s Spurs clash, the LA team has overtaken them to take on the third spot. But the Warriors, Timberwolves, Clippers, and Grizzlies are only two wins behind LeBron James and Co. So, a win tonight will go a long way for them and give them a huge cushion with only six regular season games remaining. Do you think the Lakers can sweep the season series against the Warriors and boost their chances for the playoffs?
