The Sixers’ misery continues. They headed into last night’s Thunder clash with back-to-back losses. And that streak extended further with another loss because they were playing without their 3 superstars. Well, they will get another chance to add their name to the winning column tonight as they face the Knicks. Unfortunately, Philly will be missing Joel Embiid and other key players once again.
A left foot sprain w that has forced him to sit out the last 5 games. Of course, that has been the story with him this entire season, as he’s played only 13 games so far because of lingering injury concerns. And he could miss another one tonight. Obviously, that would be a massive blow to the team as The Process has been in decent form when available, averaging 24.4 points and nearly 8 rebounds.
That’s not all! Apart from Embiid, Caleb Martin (right groin soreness), Andre Drummond (left toe sprain), KJ Martin (left foot stress reaction), Kyle Lowry (right hip strain), and Jared McCain (left knee surgery) are all out dealing with their respective setbacks. And this has really hurt the 76ers’ depth.

Furthermore, Paul George (right ankle soreness) and Tyrese Maxey (left hand sprain) are marked questionable. PG was suddenly ruled out last minute after initially being listed as probable, with ankle issues. But they’re not the only team dealing with such issues.

While the Joel Embiid-led side deals with the injuries of their Big Three, their opponents are also facing serious concerns regarding their two superstars. And this is what the Knicks’ depth chart looks like:
Position | Starters | 2nd | 3rd |
PG | Jalen Brunson (P) | Cameron Payne | Tyler Kolek |
SG | Mikal Bridges | Miles McBride | Pacome Dadiet |
SF | Josh Hart | Landry Shamet | Matt Ryan |
PF | OG Anunoby | Precious Achiuwa | Jacob Toppin |
C | Karl-Anthony Towns (Q) | Jericho Sims (Q) | Ariel Hukporti |
Yes, Karl-Anthony Towns is questionable for tonight. The reason? Suffering a sprained right thumb during Monday’s Pistons game. His absence would leave a major void in the team as KAT has been in incredible form, averaging 25.4 points and nearly 14 rebounds.

Adding to the concerns, Jalen Brunson is probable because of shoulder issues. But he has only missed one game so far this season and is likely to be available tonight. However, the injury does raise concerns because JB is having a solid season, averaging 25.7 points and nearly 8 assists. Meanwhile, Mitchell Robinson and Kevin McCullar Jr. continue to remain out, while Jericho Sims is questionable with back issues. With both teams dealing with several injuries, tonight’s game could lack major star power.
However, both teams will be more concerned about getting a win. Whose side are you on?
