The top-seeding Celtics face the Pistons tonight after a close win against the Bucks. Jayson Tatum & Co. has already cemented their spot in the post-season and literally have warm-up games ahead of the playoffs. While several stars in the side have already opted out for a few games in this run, Tatum continued to entertain his fans. However, the 5x NBA All-Star’s availability for tonight’s game seems a little bleak after the team dropped the injury report.

The Boston Celtics almost have their entire starting line-up on the injury list. JT, who refused to sit out for any of the games, fell into the Questionables category with a right ankle impingement. While the players who were often listed in the Questionables category have ended up playing the game, it could vary in the case of the Celtics. As the team has already qualified for the playoffs, it might look to rest its superstar.

Apart from Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Kristaps Porzingis, and Al Horford also fall into the same category. The latest entrant Jrue Holiday have been listed out with a Right AC sprain. Notably, the former Bucks star missed out on the last game as well with the same injury.

The management might take the call to bench all these players as they take on a 14th seeding team with a poor 12-57 record. At the same time, the Celtics can’t get too comfortable with the Detroit Pistons. They have the potential to upset a super team with their surprise attack.

Even though the Green team had won both their previous two games, the Pistons almost won a game after taking a massive 19-point lead in the first half. However, they turned it around in the second half. Amid this given situation, will JT keep his promise?

Will Jayson Tatum keep his promise alive?

While it is advisable for the players to take enough rest ahead of the postseason, Tatum has other ideas. As much as he loves the game, the star forward also loves his fans the same way.

During a recent interaction with press, Tatum revealed the reason behind why he doesn’t sit out like his teammates. He said, “I don’t like to sit out. I understand if I was injured or whatever but… I love to play the game, especially on the road. There’s so many fans out there with Tatum 0 jerseys on. Came to see me play, so I take pride in making sure I’m available as much as I can.”
