The NBA is at an all-time high when it comes to parity. Between the two Conferences, at least 7 teams could make a legitimate claim to being favorites for the title. As a result, one untimely injury could be the difference between a team’s success or failure. Unfortunately, the Boston Celtics might have their first injury scare of the season. Despite a relatively slow start from Jaylen Brown, the team has been cruising to the best record in the East.

Through fluctuating production, however, Brown continues to provide a strong gravity to help his teammates succeed. But, the waning moments of the team’s 3-point victory over the Toronto Raptors have Boston fans holding their breath.

Bean Town has consistently been the best team in the Eastern Conference to begin the year. While they did give up the No.1 seed for a brief period, a victory over the Philadelphia 76ers has them right back on top. Moreover, the Milwaukee Bucks’ slow start is helping Boston solidify their position atop the standings.

However, that standing might be in jeopardy. After a competitive, back-and-forth battle against the Toronto Raptors, a team effort from Jayson Tatum and Co. saw the team in Green prevail. Despite the Raptors having a chance to tie, they could not convert and Boston walked away with a 108-105 victory.

For the C’s, their star performer was Brown, a welcome sight for fans. After a slow start to the season, Jaylen seems to finally be rounding into form. However, just as he found his touch, the final play of the game took place.

Latest on Jaylen Brown’s injury

During the relatively short season, Jay has already missed some time due to illness. However, if severe, the strained groin could put him on the shelf for a much longer period. Coach Joe Mazulla, however, is maintaining a positive outlook.

According to the 2nd year coach, Brown himself said he was okay. Despite gingerly walking to the bench, a checkup from the training staff has Jaylen feeling positive about the upcoming days. However, he did say that his?banana peel moment was “unacceptable” for a player of his stature.
