Ahead of the Atlanta Hawks game, the Denver Nuggets‘ injury report featured some prominent names. Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, and Aaron Gordon, among others, were all listed as questionable to play. Murray has not played since March 21 when the Nuggets faced the New York Knicks. The team’s loss against the LA Clippers was the seventh consecutive game that Murray missed. However, it seems like tonight is the night when the Nuggets’ offensive weapon will make his return.
The latest update on Denver has Jamal Murray and Reggie Jackson listed as ‘available’ for the night. According to Harrison Wind of DNVR Sports, “Official: Jamal Murray and Reggie Jackson are available tonight. Aaron Gordon is out.” Now, it would seem like the “Joker” is also off the injury list as the starting lineup features Jamal Murray, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Christian Braun, Michael Porter Jr., and Jokic.

As the Nuggets battle it out with Atlanta, there can be no doubt that the home team will be looking to clinch that top position. After all, they are just half a game behind Minnesota and half ahead of the OKC Thunder. These three will fight tooth and nail until their last regular season game to get to the top.
As for the Hawks, they managed to get a place in the play-in tournament thanks to a 6-2 record from the past two weeks. This will be their third straight appearance in the same. If they win tonight, the Blackhawks will have the satisfaction of getting their first road win against Denver since November 12, 2019!
That’s a long time to go without a victory, isn’t it? But Murray and Jokic are on the court tonight and it’s not easy when the two of them get into their two-man game. That’s probably an understatement.

A healthy Jamal Murray is a nuisance for opponents
If there were any apprehensions about Jamal Murray being rusty after a 7-game absence, his stats (at this moment) do not show any such confusion. With the third quarter underway, Jamal has 16 points, six assists, and three rebounds in 21 minutes of game time. And the second-best scorer of the night.
Murray’s averages this season are 20.9 points, 6.7 assists, and 4.5 rebounds per game. So, given the situation, he is performing pretty well. After all, he does lead the Nuggets in scoring against Atlanta averaging 29.0. As of now (3rd quarter), the Nuggets are leading with 17 points at 93-76 (at the time of writing). Well, all we need to do now is wait and see the results.
