The Milwaukee Bucks had all of their starts on the injury report prior to today’s game. However, Khris Middleton and Giannis Antetokounmpo managed to partake in the contest; further suffering a massive 117-113 blow, losing to the low-seeded Washington Wizards. Regardless, the Bucks (47-28) now take their talents home, hosting the Memphis Grizzlies (25-50) on Wednesday night.

The Bucks will aim to bounce back from the uncharacteristic loss, hoping to maintain their second spot in the East. On the other hand, the Grizzlies, being already called out of the playoff, can use the game to gain insights into their roster. While the official update awaits on tonight’s game, it could end up being another test for the Bucks. Giannis can be cited as ‘probable’ upon the initial launch of their Injury Report in light of rest during the season’s end. Since suffering the left hamstring tendinopathy in early March, the status has often remained ‘probable’ for the center as coach Rivers remarked, “We’re just concerned a little bit”.

Moreover, Damian Lillard‘s availability also hangs in balance, as he was barred from the Washington game due to a groin strain. While Dame’s injury might not be serious, the Bucks could opt to rest him from unnecessarily exerting himself on the court. Nevertheless, fans can expect a few roster changes here and there as the game approaches tip-off.

Moreover, on the Grizzlies’ end, the squad sees little to no movement in their injury-heavy squad. Their previous game saw 9 players on the injury report: Ja Morant, John Konchar, Derrick Rose, Desmond Bane, Santi Aldama, Marcus Smart, Vince Williams Jr., Yuta Watanabe, and Ziaire Williams. Out of the lot, only Aldama is suited for the game.

The two teams have only faced once this season, in a closely put game during mid-February. Surprisingly, it was the undermanned Grizzlies who emerged on the victorious end of the 113-110 game.

The Bucks entered the game with Giannis and Damian Lillard stomping on the court. While it was not Dame’s best shooting night, Antetokounmpo dominated the pain, making 15 of his 17 shots. The first-year duo combined for 69 points, shooting more than 60% collectively. Moreover, Brook Lopez and Bobby Portis fulfilled Middleton’s void by scoring in double digits.

However, the Grizzlies’ roster saw 6 players touching the double-digit mark (4 starters). The six players combined for nearly 65% shooting touch, attempting 74 of their 83 attempts. The Bucks managed to even their production at the half. However, the determined underdogs surged within the third quarter, building a 9-point advantage coming into the fourth.

Nevertheless, the chances of that repeating are slim this time around. The Grizzlies, if not losing enough players since the beginning of the season, have lost 4 key players of the February 15 game roster. Moreover, the Bucks display a much more efficient team chemistry than before.
