Doc Rivers’ Milwaukee Bucks have been hot and cold this season. And their 6-4 record in the last 10 reflects that. Now on a 2-game winning streak, the Bucks would love to extend it by adding their upcoming opponents, the Toronto Raptors to their list of vanquished foes. But they will need the likes of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard to be at their best for that.
However, in a turn of events that will surely have Bucks fans sweating bullets, Giannis is listed as PROBABLE in the latest injury report. The cited reason is right patellar tendinopathy.

Injury Report – Jan. 17 vs. Toronto
Out:
Johnson (G League)
Smith (G League)Questionable:
Jackson Jr. (Right Hip Contusion)Probable:
Antetokounmpo (Right Patella Tendinopathy)
Middleton (Bilateral Ankle Injury Management)
Trent Jr. (Left Hip Flexor Strain)— Milwaukee Bucks (@Bucks) January 16, 2025
However, it is worth remembering that he was listed as probable on injury reports for previous games as well. And those were games he played in and even stole the show in a few. After all, no one scores 41 points in an NBA game if they are severely compromised.
Over his last 5 games, Giannis has averaged 29.5 points, with 13 rebounds, 6.2 assists, and 1.2 blocks. So it seems everything is alright with the Bucks’ center despite him having an injury listed on the report.
However, the same cannot be said for his teammates ahead of the game against the Raptors. So let us delve deeper into the injury report submitted by Milwaukee.
Milwaukee Bucks vs Toronto Raptors Injury Report
Aside from Giannis’ availability, Bucks fans have other things to worry about. Milwaukee forward Khris Middleton is also listed as PROBABLE. However, it is fair to assume that he will also play against the Raptors since he played in the Bucks’ last game. The same cannot be said for Gary Trent Jr., who is also listed as PROBABLE but wasn’t a part of the Bucks’ squad against the Orlando Magic.
After suffering a hip injury in the Bucks’ game against Orlando, Jackson is being considered QUESTIONABLE ahead of the Raptors game. The Bucks will be down 2 shooting guards if both Gary and Andre cannot regain fitness in time.
Rounding out the Bucks’ injury report are rookies AJ Johnson and Tyler Smith. Both of them are listed as OUT since they will be on assignment in the G League.
The Toronto Raptors, on the other hand, have 5 players who are OUT owing to G League duties. The players in question are Ulrich Chomche, AJ Lawson, Jonathan Mogbo, Eugene Omoruyi, and Ja’Kobe Walter. Immanuel Quickley is also OUT because of a left hip strain. Quickley misses his third game for the Raptors this season.
Due to a laceration in his right hand, Milwaukee-born Ochai Agbaji is listed as QUESTIONABLE. However, it appears his injury is not that severe and he may play against the Bucks on Friday.
