While Dame worked toward his NBA dream, Kay’La studied nursing and later went on to pursue that career for a brief period.
Moreover, Lillard realized their relationship was meant to be long-term right away as he revealed in an interview three years ago, “I knew Kay’La was the one a long time ago. When we were in college she took care of me. She had the car, an apartment and bent over backwards for me. Kay’La accepted me with all my flaws as a young man.” And they also grew their family in the coming years.

Despite dating each other since college, Dame and Kay’La took a few years before tying the knot. But during the All-Star Weekend four years ago, the superstar finally decided to pop the question, “I told her we were attending a new Valentine’s Day event the NBA was hosting. So, I was affected more by that than anything.”
It also impacted his move to Milwaukee as the trade happened around the same time. “With parenting time, I couldn’t get anything set up. I didn’t even have a place to live for the first couple of months of the season. I was in a little apartment that they just had for me. I didn’t get to get things organized in my life.” But he has had some time to process the situation and is in a much better place now.

While dating rumors escalated, Dame addressed it in a recent presser, “I’m weak. That is hilarious. Nah, I keep my personal life personal, you know? And I let it be that. I respect her as an artist. We know each other, she’s an artist, I’m an artist. But as far as anything else, it ain’t nothing going on. That’s what I can tell you.”
Well, the Bucks star shut down the rumors and claims to be strictly focused on the game following his divorce. But things could change now that he is no longer married.
