With a 7-3 record in their last 10, the Minnesota Timberwolves have somehow managed to get a Playoff spot with the season nearly over. But holding onto it is a different story altogether. They will need stars like Anthony Edwards and Rudy Gobert to fire on all cylinders to close out the regular season.
But there’s something that may throw a huge spanner in the works. No, it’s not the Philadelphia 76ers who are next on the docket for the T-Wolves. It’s their injuries to their stars that may pose problems for Minnesota. So let’s see what the injury report they submitted for the Sixers game says.

Minnesota Timberwolves Injury Report – Will Anthony Edwards play against the Philadelphia 76ers?
The Timberwolves’ game against the Brooklyn Nets had a really scary moment involving Ant. While attempting a three-pointer along the baseline, Anthony collided with the Nets coach, Jordi Fernandez. This caused him to roll his ankle and return to the dressing room. But that’s not enough to keep Ant down. And after half-time, he reemerged from the dressing room to a dominant 105-90 victory over the Nets.
Despite his insane and unexpected return, doubts still lingered. No one knew whether he was simply playing through the pain or if he was genuinely healthy enough to carry on playing. Well, we have our answers now. The injury report submitted by the Minnesota Timberwolves has no sign of him. So, Anthony Edwards is AVAILABLE for the Sixers matchup.
In fact, as far as injuries go, there’s some great news for you Minnesota fans. There’s only one player on the injury report submitted by your team. And that player is Terrence Shannon Jr. He is OUT of the Philadelphia game with a strained right groin. As of now, there is no established timeline for his return.
On the other hand, the Philadelphia 76ers have a whole host of injured players. Paul George, Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, and Andre Drummond are just a few among the players who are OUT for the game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
And this will come as a huge relief to head coach Chris Finch. as he tries to put together a lineup for the upcoming game.

Minnesota Timberwolves vs Philadelphia 76ers – predicted starting lineup and depth chart
Choosing a starting lineup will be much easier for Finch now that stars like Anthony Edwards and Rudy Gobert aren’t fighting injuries. But he might just choose to rest some of his important players. The postseason is approaching, and being overworked is exactly what might put them back on the shelf. Nevertheless, here’s who we think might feature in the T-Wolves lineup against the Sixers:
POSITION | STARTER | 2nd UNIT | 3rd UNIT |
PG | Mike Conley | Donte DiVincenzo | Rob Dillingham |
SG | Anthony Edwards | Nickeil Alexander-Walker | Donte DiVincenzo |
SF | Jaden McDaniels | Jaylen Clark | Nickeil Alexander-Walker |
PF | Julius Randle | Naz Reid | Jaden McDaniels |
C | Rudy Gobert | Naz Reid | Luka Garza |

As you can see, the Timberwolves have all of their starters and virtually all of their bench players as well. On paper, this puts them in a great position to beat the Sixers in their upcoming game. And we think that’s exactly what’s going to happen. Even if they use a second-string lineup, that still means the Sixers will have to topple a team with the likes of Naz Reid and Donte DiVincenzo.
And we just can’t see that happening given where they are at the moment. But let us know what you think!
