“The plan for Bronny to move between the Lakers and South Bay has always been the plan since day one,” said JJ Redick in a statement. With his performances not improving, they decided that LeBron James’s eldest son could split his time between the NBA and the G League. As Bronny made his debut with the South Bay Lakers, taking on Salt Lake City, he wasn’t short of moral support. From LeBron and AD to Savannah and Zhuri, everyone was there to cheer on the young star. His sis, herself, may have wished for her eldest brother to succeed. However, after his extended time on the court, a wet hug would’ve been the last thing on her mind!

As the G League game at the UCLA Health Training Center came to a close, cameras captured Bronny sharing a moment with his close ones. After hugging her elder brother, however, Zhuri made a ‘disgusted’ look and rubbed her shirt rigorously. Bronny, clocking in 31 minutes today, seems to have been heavily sweating. Some of it then gets transferred to Zhuri during the hug. While the 10-year-old was certainly going ‘eww’, the commentators had a good laugh at her reaction.

“That’s the….my play of the night, right there,” said one of the commentators in the midst of laughing on air. After all, if that wasn’t a certified and classic brother-sister moment, then what is?

The clip has the potential to become a viral moment. Therefore, some would’ve expected it to reach LeBron James sooner than later. Surprisingly, it didn’t take long! The Laker highlighted the moment on his Instagram stories, adding a string of laughing emojis.

LeBron James needed to say nothing more about Zhuri’s hilarious reaction! Savannah also reposted the moment in her IG stories. She added a caption, “I’m sure this was a lesson learned,” accompanied by another string of laughing emojis.

Being in the public spotlight as much as the 4x champ, both Bronny and Zhuri have given fans some adorable moments. Seeing his children grow up has also made LeBron James quite nostalgic. After the Lakers season opener, which was the first regular season game he and Bronny played in, the All-Time Champion stated, “And also, my daughter, his little sister, her turning 10. Everything was just great today. Everything.” He later added, “From the moment I woke up, I saw my daughter before she went to school. Went to work, saw my son at work. Got to the game and just everything, man. The whole family. It was a great moment.”

Bronny ended his South Bay debut with 6 points, along with 3 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals. Therefore, in light of so much effort, and running back and forth the court, one would expect the 20-year-old to be drenched in sweat! Perhaps Zhuri would better understand Bronny’s situation if she was in his shoes. Fortunately, she seems to be already getting there…

Prior to the commencement of the G-League game, the players were practicing in a shoot-around. Zhuri, who had occupied one of the courtside seats with her family, also dabbled with a basketball, bouncing it while LeBron James could be seen handing out some advice to Bronny. She then attempted to make a shot. While she missed, the attempt certainly brought a smile to Bron’s face.

Who knows? Zhuri might very well be a WNBA player in the making. For now, however, her niche is volleyball. As she continues representing her school team, LeBron James himself has attended many of her games and shared the moment on social media. At one point, the veteran hoopster loudly shouted, “Let’s Go, Munchkins”, causing his daughter to give him an ‘embarrassed’ look.

While the 10-year-old is certainly rising to fame, it is now her brother’s moment to shine. However, while the ‘disgusted’ look may not be the most motivating factor for Bronny, no true LeBron fan would be complaining. After all, it was a decent day at the office.
