It’s finally happening! With the deadline approaching, the Warriors, in a desperate move, reportedly inquired about every available All-Star for a potential trade. Well, it looks like they got what they wanted, as Jimmy Butler is coming to the Bay Area in a shocking multi-team heist… But above all, the Bay’s main man Steve Kerr did not seem too thrilled about the blockbuster move.

Yes, as per veteran insider Shams Charania, the Heat is finalizing a deal to send Jimmy to the Warriors. Obviously, the acquisition comes at a hefty price. In exchange, Joe Lacob is parting ways with Andrew Wiggins, Dennis Schroder, Kyle Anderson, Lindy Waters III, and a protected first-round pick. Well, the timing of the trade could not have been worse as the news broke right before the Warriors were heading to the court to face the Jazz.

Turns out, the team had a closed-door meeting during media time, with Steve Kerr addressing the players. Even those who were already on the hardwood were brought back to the locker room. In a shocking revelation, however, reporter Ohm Youngmisuk revealed: “Steve Kerr just walked out of the locker room with his head down.”

Of course, Steve Kerr and Stephen Curry were reportedly not in favor of the Warriors acquiring Butler and risking the future by giving up valuable assets. Veteran insider Kevin O’Connor recently reported, “My league sources say Stephen Curry specifically has concerns about Jimmy Butler’s fit in the Warriors locker room.” But Joe Lacob seems to have ignored his superstar’s plea!

While Jimmy is an All-Star caliber talent with proven playoff experience, his polarizing personality could cause BIG problems under the Bay Area roof. Especially when they already have someone like Draymond Green on their roster. Maybe, that’s what Curry and Kerr were concerned about. However, it looks like the Warriors front office has gone leaps and bounds to get this deal done.

While Lacob has given up a lot to acquire Butler, not every piece is going to the Heat. According to Shams, Lindy Waters III will be heading to the Pistons along with Heat’s Josh Richardson. Meanwhile, Schroder will have to pack his bags once again, this time to take a flight to Utah as he has been moved to the Jazz. Heat’s Riley will keep Andrew Wiggins, Kyle Anderson, and the protected pick. And PJ Tucker will also return to Miami from Utah.

Sure, this Butler deal might not be what our beloved Splash Bro wanted. But Jimmy will likely be pleased with it because his 2-month-long saga in Miami has finally come to an end. Moreover, he got what he wanted as he has reportedly agreed to a two-year $121M extension with the Bay franchise, which means he will decline his player option for next season. Like it or not, the Warriors will look completely revamped the next time they hit the hardwood, with the new Big 3 of Jimmy, Steph, and Dray. What are your thoughts?
