In the persisting season, the hoops community has witnessed various big men’s match-ups and Victor Wembanyama has been the major threat in all of them. Tonight, the French man took on the Phoenix Suns‘ Bol Bol, and it was nothing short of intense rivalry. However, during a contest against Wemby, the frustrated Suns’ big man threw a hilarious tantrum at the refs over a foul call. While the Sudanese-American star had the last laugh tonight, it isn’t clear whether he will face the 7 ‘4 baller on Monday again, courtesy of his injury signs.

At the end of the game, the big man was seen holding onto his shoulder in pain. A report suggested that his shoulder was fine. However, the star’s availability will depend on the team’s injury report ahead of the Monday night game. The report also stated that the Suns team hasn’t scheduled their practice tomorrow as they face the San Antonio Spurs again.

Bol joined the Suns’ fold as the backup center. While he sat on the bench for the initial part of the season, lately he has been checking in quite frequently. Tonight, he made the most of his brief stay on the court, dropping 13 points. During that time, he expressed his frustration on the Wemby foul call. When Refs called a foul on him while defending Wemby in the second quarter, he said, “D*ckr*ding bro. I get it.”

Bol has played 33 games so far into the season with an average of 11.3 minutes per game. However, he might get extra minutes on Monday considering his match-up against Wembanyama. The French baller so far has had match-ups against Chet Holmgren, Anthony Davis, Trayce Jackson-Davis and several other big men.

Bol Bol’s limited playing time

It’s not only with the Valley side, the 7 ‘3 rising star has faced this issue but with almost every franchise he has been a part of. Bol Bol played his first three seasons with the Denver Nuggets and had an average game time of 7.8 minutes. The major reason behind the reduced time was the presence of Nikola Jokic; one of Nuggets’ greatest centres. The Serbian star barely ever sat on the bench during the game, thus limiting Bol Bol’s chances on the court.

In the previous season, he played for the Orlando Magic with an average game time of 21.5 minutes. However, it lasted for only one season until he moved to the Suns. Another major reason for his reduced time on the court could be attributed to his injuries. In the last 5 seasons, the centre has missed several games with his foot and ankle injuries; including an one incurred early in January.
