The Indiana Pacers are having an excellent 2023-24 season. Even the most optimistic of Pacers’ fans wouldn’t have fathomed that their beloved team would be a title challenger this season. On top of that, the Pacers made it all the way to the finals of the In-Season tournament. Which isn’t an achievement to be looked down on by a supposedly “rebuilding team”.

The Pacers would look to maintain their exceptional form, as they face the Phoenix Suns in their next match. However, they may not have their star player, Tyrese Haliburton, available for tonight’s game, as it remains uncertain if he will suit up.

Haliburton is listed as questionable for tonight’s game

The game is scheduled to tip-off by 8:00 PM, Eastern Time at the FootPrint Arena in Phoenix. This match-off between the two title challengers promises to be an enthralling one, as both teams wouldn’t want to fall behind in their pursuit of the NBA title. However, the Pacers could miss the services of point guard Tyrese Haliburton who could be sidelined due to a hamstring injury.

Haliburton suffered a grade 1 hamstring strain on 8th January against the Celtics, which would’ve ruled him out for at least two weeks. However, Haliburton made a swift recovery and returned on 19th January against the Blazers. In his comeback performance, Haliburton scored 21 points and dished out 17 assists. Despite playing in their last match, the Pacers listed Haliburton as questionable because of injury/load management. Apart from Haliburton, they will also miss the services of Andrew Nembhard (back) and Isaiah Jackson (concussion) for the game against the Suns.

Predicted Lineups: Suns vs Pacers

With the season reaching its halfway mark, the Pacers currently occupy the 7th spot in the Eastern Conference standings, with 24 wins and 18 losses. Moreover, their acquisition of 2x All-Star, Pascal Siakam will further improve their playoff odds. The game against the Suns will be a fiercely competitive affair, but the Pacers possess the quality to come out as the winners. They could begin the game with Tyrese Haliburton, Buddy Hield, Aaron Nesmith, Pascal Siakam and Myles Turner.

On the contrary, the Phoenix Suns have had a massively disappointing season so far. Before the start of the season, many predicted them to be one of the favorites for the title. However, their lack of quality backups to Kevin Durant, Bradley Beal and Devin Booker have become glaringly obvious. The Suns are still in the thick of the playoff race, but a title win looks extremely unlikely as of now. The Suns must start to win games on a daily basis and that must start from tonight. In a game of high stakes, the Suns could start the game with Bradley Beal, Devin Booker, Grayson Allen, Kevin Durant and Jusuf Nurkić.
