Dwyane Wade has a lot of NBA accolades to his name. And this is about a not-so-official accolade that the star American former footballer won for himself through his grit. Widely regarded as one of the greatest shooting guards in NBA history, he did catch the eye of many great defenders.
The Miami Heat legend already had well-established friendships with LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, and other big names too. However, one great move by Kobe Bryant just made Wade so proud of his skills.

In an interview that happened last year, the winner of three NBA championships and a 13-time NBA All-Star made it very clear that getting to know Kobe or even talking to him was a very big thing in itself.
With the same fondness for the legend, Dwyane Wade could be seen reminiscing about his time on the court with Kobe Bryant. During an Instagram livestream, Wade mentioned it to Stephen Curry.
Wade said: ?When I first got in the league, Steph, I couldn?t throw a rock in the ocean, like I couldn?t shoot so everyone backed all the way to the rim.? Jumping from this game to the one against the Lakers, Dwayne continued: ?I remember we were playing, we were playing against Kobe, and I remember when Kobe first picked me up 94 feet.”
Explaining further, Dwayne made it very clear that Kobe knew he (Wade) was getting more lethal on the field with a ball in his hands. That is one of the reasons why Kobe didn?t want him to even touch the basketball.?
