Remember the good old days when you could be hit with a Woj Bomb anytime you opened your X feed? Well, it has been nearly two months since the last one dropped as Adrian Wojnarowski is now enjoying his career as the General Manager of St. Bonaventure’s men’s basketball program. But his departure from journalism gave Isaac Okoro the bragging rights of being the last ever player to be Woj Bomb’d. And the Cavs star decided to pay a special tribute to the former media mogul in tonight’s Sixers game.

Okoro is honoring Wojnarowski’s legacy by wearing his latest HOLO PE sneakers inspired by ‘The Final Woj Bomb’ before he announced his retirement. Yes, three days before hanging his boots, Woj broke the news of Isaac’s three-year $38 million contract extension in Cleveland, making him the star of his final player transaction tweet.

Well, the $52.3 million brand sneakers Okoro is wearing are red and black. They also have a bomb printed on the heel, signifying Woj Bomb. Obviously, the Cavs hoopster was able to pull off this tribute because he signed an equity deal with HOLO Footwear last year, giving him the chance to craft his own unique signature shoes. “I’ve always dreamed about being able to have and create my own shoe, so being able to be in that position right now is truly a blessing,” he remarked after signing the sneaker deal.

This is also not the first time Issac Okoro has highlighted that Adrian Wojnarowski’s final Woj Bomb was about him, as he also tweeted about it soon after the former insider announced his retirement, “Last Woj Bomb #LetEmKnow”

Adrian Wojnarowski could return to the NBA World, but in a new role

As significant as Woj Bombs were in the NBA community, it is understandable why Isaac Okoro is so proud to be the final one. But Wojnarowski has moved on to a new role now and aims to excel as a GM, “I am hopeful that I can bring value in a lot of areas to our basketball program and open doors for our young men’s futures in ways both professionally and personally.” With his experience and insider contacts across the league, he could be a huge asset to the St. Bonaventure program.

What’s your perspective on:

Could Woj's GM role be the start of a new legacy, or is he better as a journalist?

Have an interesting take?

This could also pave the way for a potential career as an executive in the NBA. Media veteran, Bomani Jones, recently speculated, “This is just a guess, right? I don’t have no information on it. But if he is learning how to be an executive because one day he could come back over to this side, he knows enough people in front offices that maybe he could wind up there.”

Well, the idea does not seem too far-fetched. And from what we have learned from Adrian’s illustrious career as a journalist, Woj will give it his all, once he puts his mind to something. Do you think he will return to the NBA World and continue to build his legacy?
