Luka Doncic has stamped himself as one of the most dominating players in the game. Coupled with sleek handles and endless scoring moves, he brings a lot to the table. He is more than a scorer and has brilliant rebounding and playmaking skills. This has been a result of him entering the Spanish Basketball League in his mid-teens and then working his way up in the NBA consistently.

As a result, he has built a huge fandom both in Europe and the USA. This fandom keenly follows even his practice moves. During one of his maneuvers, they were left stunned.

The Dallas Mavericks are going to play Minnesota Timberwolves in a couple of days in Abu Dhabi. Therefore, Luka Doncic is practicing ahead of the fixture in the Arabian City. During one session, he left his assistant coach, Darrell Armstrong, in the lurch. Faking a dribble to the left, his crossover made Armstrong drop. After taking a lifetime, the Slovenian sharpshooter makes the three. However, it looked like he used his left arm to nail the shot.

The 1999 Sixth Man of The Year went to Instagram and compared this shot to the much-famed “The Last Shot” by Michael Jordan. This shot came about when the Chicago Bulls were down a point against the Utah Jazz in Game Six of the 1998 Finals. After completing a steal in a double-team situation against Karl Malone, Jordan worked up an isolation and nailed a tough mid-ranger over Byron Russell. Many thought he pushed off with his left hand for separation. Therefore, the former athletic guard compared Doncic’s shot to that iconic mid-range jumper and called them offensive fouls in jest.

Now, with Mavs’ fixture just a few hours away, the Slovenian maestro once again sizzled in practice. In the reel by NBA’s official Instagram, which is titled, “Luka Magic from half… on the first try! 🪄 #NBAinAbuDhabi”, he nails an astounding shot. Appearing in flip-flops, the Guard casually nails a half-court shot.

Fans celebrate the mastery of Doncic

As expected, a fan rightly pointed out, “IN HIS GODDAMN FLIP FLOPS”. The official NBA page in Arabic also stated, “In slippers too! 🤯🤯”. Another user looked thrilled, stating, “Legit🔥🔥”. One commenter was in awe too, and wrote, “Wow💖

On the flip side of the flip-flop admiration, a user lauded the trimming down of his physique but also brought in a perceived downside to it. The user commented, “He’s considerably skinnier, kinda like his rookie season. But his edge as a PG is he can post up players. Bro should hire LeBron fitness coach or something 😂”.
