Tonight’s match between the Rockets and Lakers was extremely one-sided. With Jalen Green of the Rockets just blowing up like the young guard that he is, LA was left in the dust. Despite Anthony Davis’s confidence in being able to play tonight, he couldn’t make it. And the Lakers were worse for wear without him.

Even though LeBron James played 27 minutes today, it has become clear that using him to play for longer is not the solution. If the Lakers are planning to get the title this season, they need to come up with a backup plan.

The Rocket’s young guard, Jalen Green, had an amazing game tonight. They won against the Lakers with a 34-point margin. The final score read 128-94. An even better moment for Green was his steal from Austin Reaves in the first half. The Rockets coach, Ime Udoka has opened up about the reason behind Green’s pickpocket on the Lakers’ next star.

Well, Udoka’s motivational tip helped. Green was off before you could say ‘Go’. Their victory over the Lakers makes it their fourth straight win. The last season saw the Houston Rockets trailing so far behind that everyone thought they would be a bottom-feeder this time around too.

That is not the case. Their game against the Lakers itself showed how much they have improved. Not once did they trail behind the Lakers as they won a comparatively easy 128-94 win over them. Seeing their improved offense, Coach Ham has predicted good things for the Rockets.

Though the Lakers are facing unfortunate losses, that has not made them blind to brilliant performances by other teams. Facing the Rockets tonight, Coach Ham of the Lakers was in awe at the rapid transformation that has happened under Udoka. Every single player on the court contributed equally to take Houston to the next level.

As AP news reports, Darvin Ham said, “They’re going to be a handful to deal with this year … not just for us, but the other 28 teams besides us.” The Rockets offense was splendid tonight. They shot 54.8% in entirety and made 42.4% of the three-point goals. With AD out, they also managed to dominate the rebounds with a 57-34 against the Lakers.

The third quarter saw Jabari Smith Jr. and Jae’Sean Tate with 3-pointers to seal the Lakers’ fate. Short story, the Rockets are quickly rising above the ranks after a dismal past season. With the talented Udoka to oversee and skilled players on the team ready to pull their weight, it’s a no-brainer that Houston will be a “handful”.
