Any team that manages to land Giannis Antetokounmpo would become an instant contender. Though there are years before Giannis would even consider changing locations, it hasn?t stopped Stephen A. Smith from recruiting him.
On the most recent episode of First Take, Stephen A. Smith gave his views on Antetokounmpo?s statement. He said, ?Damn it, I?m starving for New York to get him. So, that?s where my mind is at. When he said what he said, all I thought about was, the Knicks got a chance, the Knicks got a chance.?
While Smith was excited about this possibility, he was immediately mocked by his co-host Ryan Clark. Clark went on to bash Smith for using his platform as a way to recruit and attract players to sign with New York.
Clark went on to say, ?Somebody has to stop allowing Stephen A. to use First Take as a New York Knicks recruiting room or a recruiting spot. I don?t know. Adam Silver needs to fine Stephen A. Or the New York Knicks need to be fined for Stephen A. constantly tampering.?
