For the past decade, the Golden State Warriors have dominated the league. They completely revolutionized the game of basketball with their three-ball style. Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green played crucial roles in driving this revolution. The Warriors will go down as one of the greatest NBA dynasties of all time, having won four NBA titles in the last nine seasons. All this success would not be possible without their head coach, Steve Kerr.

Kerr’s coaching completely unlocked the potential of the Warriors stars. But after a traumatizing loss to the Lakers in the 2023 playoffs semifinals. Kerr has outlawed LeBron’s iconic celebration at the Team USA training camp during the summer.

The Lakers totally outplayed the Warriors in the Western Conference semifinals. They lost the series in six games, as the Lakers took advantage of their lack of size. Steve Kerr had no answers for LeBron and Anthony Davis’ power and size. While AD and LeBron were the stars, Austin Reaves emerged as a valuable part of the roster. Reaves broke onto the scene this season, averaging 13 points, 3 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game.

Due to his stellar performances for the Lakers in the 2022-23 season, Steve Kerr selected Reaves to represent Team USA at the FIBA World Cup. But Kerr warned Reaves that the “Freeze” celebration wasn’t welcome at the training camp. Reaves said, “Yeah, we talked about it. The celebration that Dennis [Schroder] brought to the team, the freeze. He told me, he was like, ‘You cannot do that at the USA.’ He was like, ‘I seen it too many times in the playoffs, and I’m sick of seein’ it”.
