This NBA offseason, some big trades took place with big names in the league switching teams. One such move was the Warriors adding Chris Paul to their roster. A known rival of Stephen Curry will be on the court sharing the ball with him. And head coach Steve Kerr could not be more excited about the addition of one of the best point guards of this generation.

The Golden State Warriors parted ways with a young blossoming guard that was Jordan Poole. But the team along with its head coach surely are ecstatic to see what this new lineup will achieve this upcoming season.

Coach Kerr talks about Chris Paul

The Golden State Warriors already had one of the best point guards in the league. And now the team’s front office added Chris Paul to their starting lineup.

Recently, head coach Steve Kerr made an appearance on NBA Today. The nine-time NBA champion went on to talk about the new roster of Team USA before addressing his thoughts on CP3 joining their roster.

While on the show, Kerr said, “I will take Chris Paul on any team including a pickup game that I’m trying to win to stay on the floor. Because I’ve competed against him too often and I know how difficult he is to beat. But yeah we’re really excited to have Chris and it’ll be a fun season coming up.”

Steve Kerr then went on to talk about his interaction with Paul. He saw Paul and Curry work out together in Vegas. Kerr had the opportunity to tell him what he expects from the team in the upcoming season.

Warriors become well guarded

At the expense of losing a future star, the Golden State Warriors were able to create a win now starting lineup. Having two talented point guards like Chris Paul and Stephen Curry is likely every head coach’s dream.

With the addition of Paul to the team, a lot of the ball-handling responsibilities would land on him, leaving Curry free to roam the floor and spot up whenever he wants to. And this will surely be a task for opposing teams to defend.
