The Los Angeles Lakers had one of the best comeback stories in the 2022-23 NBA season. During the halfway mark of the regular season, the team was nowhere near the top 8 teams of the Western Conference. However, after the trade deadline, the team roped in a few talents and Anthony Davis and LeBron James came back out of injuries, and the team went on to play in the Conference Finals. While the possibility of adding a star like Trae Young would improve the team further, a veteran NBA analyst A. K. A James hater hysterically trashed the Atlanta Hawks star.

Over the last few years, Trae Young has emerged as one of the dominant players in the league. The star has maintained a steady of above 25 points almost throughout his career. Moreover, he earned the nickname of Ice Trae for his brilliance under pressure and making clutch plays. Despite his domination on the court, he failed to convince a veteran NBA analyst to earn a spot in the Lakers’ line up.

A LeBron James hater trashes Trae Young

Even though the Lakers’ line up is filled with talents, the experts keep finding ways to rope in stars from other franchises. In that lineup, the Undisputed show debated on bringing in Trae Young into the Purple and Gold team. While it sounded interesting in the beginning, veteran NBA analyst Skip Bayless had a difference of opinion.

In the recent episode of Shannon Sharpe-less Undisputed show, the panel debated on Young’s spot in the Lakers’ roster. Bayless said, “He (Young) is a great young man… I’d like to go to dinner with him. I would not want him on my basketball team.” He further went to trash on the star’s height. He added, “He might be six feet tall on a good day. They call him Ice Trae and I call him Mice Trae because he’s so little.”

Furthermore, he went on to describe his 3-point shooting average as Terrible and criticized his turnovers.

Above all, he put forward all these criticisms after he said he liked him. On the other hand, Bayless is considered as LeBron hater.

Why is Skip Bayless called LeBron James hater?

Over the years, Bayless has earned himself a reputation as LBJ hater. He often criticized James on the GOAT debate against Michael Jordan. Even recently, he took a dig at the superstar. He said, “He pulls up and jacks up threes because he’s scared to death at the late-game free throw line. I can show you a thousand times! That is the God’s truth.” However, James never really responded to Bayless in the last few years.
