The NBA world witnessed a new chapter in the analysts’ beef fiasco. Amid the intense postseason action, Shaquille O’Neal and Shannon Sharpe went after each other in the online realm. It all began when Sharpe called Shaq “envious” of Nikola Jokic‘s third league MVP in the last four seasons. In response to the NFL legend’s brutal comments, the LA Lakers legend hit back with a lengthy write-up and also threatened to expose him.

Following the announcement of the prestigious MVP award, Shaq greeted the Denver Nuggets star but also expressed his wish for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to win the award. While it made the headlines for Diesel‘s boldness, Sharpe twisted the narrative with his latest podcast episode Nightcap alongside Chad Johnson.

The Broncos legend said, “He sees a guy like Nikola Jokic that’s not as dominant as him, gets three in four years, I think a part of Shaq is envious of that.” Moreover, he took a dig at Shaq’s ‘work ethic’ and also said that he can’t keep him in the GOAT debate. It was enough to provoke the big man. Shaq took to his Instagram handle and slammed the NFL legend with a brutal write-up. He not only countered all the nasty blows but also threatened him, Don’t forget i know what you did to get were you at.”

There isn’t any clarity on the big expose but Shaquille O’Neal further went on to counter Sharpe in every angle possible. He started off by accusing the ESPN analyst of taking digs at him for “Clicks” and to “Stay relevant”. Speaking of his work ethic, Dr. Diesel said, “To b quite frank all this new success you got, you still under me. u don’t kno my work ethic. but according i work less than you but im worth more than you.”   The legend further continued to rip Sharpe apart with his brutal words and even claimed to be too old to do this.

Shaq – The Most Dominant Ever

Shannon Sharpe, in his podcast, said he can’t include the Lakers legend in the GOAT debate for a strange reason. He said, “It’s hard for me to put somebody in the GOAT conversation with one MVP… If he had my work ethic, he had 40,000 points.” Responding to the GOAT conversation, Shaq said, “Your goat debate, never wanted to be the goat I wanted to be who you should greet me as THE MOST DOMINANT EVER. #theapexpredator.”

The TNT analyst has plenty of times pulled himself out of the GOAT debate in the past and always stressed himself as the most dominant player of the game. And while he let other digs slide past him, he didn’t seem too happy with Sharpe’s words.

Criticizing Sharpe, he also added a piece of professional advice to the NFL legend. Shaq said, “If you need help making money it’s better ways than gossiping.” Other than that, the big man also shared an image of a web article that presented Sharpe as the 51st player in the Top-100 NFL Greats.

With that image, Shaq implied that Sharpe hasn’t even earned the top-10 spot in his own sport to criticize someone who has earned the top-10 spot in their sport. Nevertheless, reading into the explosive comeback of Shaquille O’Neal, do you think Sharpe would reply to this? Let us know in the comments.
