Tyrese recently opened up about it on Podcast P with Paul George. While revealing that were concerns in the beginning, one man’s word put everybody to rest.

The man was none other than experienced coach Steve Kerr, who was a three-point specialist during his playing career. He has also formed a cohesive unit of shooting with the likes of Stephen Curry and co, but what exactly did the 57-year-old say about Haliburton’s jump shot?

Tyrese Haliburton reveals Coach Kerr’s vision

The Indiana Pacers point guard was in a free-wheeling discussion with the podcaster, and they first spoke about how his unique movement would be an impediment for him to get into the NBA. “I am honestly, like a very petty person. If I go through my bookmarks right now, on Twitter, once I get to 2020, it’s gonna be nothing but people talking about the way I shoot,”?he revealed.

However, after signing with the Sacramento Kings, Haliburton’s then-coach got a piece of advice from Kerr himself. “When I got to the NBA, Luke didn’t really know anything about me. And, a story that he told me recently, that Coach Kerr had called him. Because I worked out for the Warriors. And he was like, ‘We love that kid. Don’t ever touch his jumper.’… And from there, nobody has ever messed with me about it,”?he said.
