Unlike the rest of the playoffs, Anthony Edwards has been unable to showcase his superstar potential against Dallas in the ongoing West Finals. In the last game, he was bamboozled by the sorcery of Kyrie Irving’s dribbling. After the game, Ant even admitted to being tired in Game 1 chasing around Kyrie all night (Who could blame him?). Tonight, the young star was seen sitting out a major chunk of the fourth quarter with a face mask on to receive oxygen, leading to fans and analysts doubting his endurance.
Despite the heartbreaking loss, Edwards shrugged off those allegations during the postgame interview. When asked about why he felt the need to receive oxygen in the middle of the game and if it was because he was tired, he laughed it off, “Nah Nah. I was good today.” Although it’s good to hear that Edwards wasn’t gassed during the game because of Dallas’ fast-paced offense, that did not reflect in his performance.
Scoring just 21 points in the game while shooting only five of seventeen from the field, Ant-Man looked like a shell of himself on the court. Moreover, out of his twenty-one points, nine came from the charity stripes. So, it was evident that Edwards was having trouble getting past Dallas’ defense. Addressing that issue, Ant-Man revealed why he has been struggling in this series, “I’m turning down a lot of shots like my midranges and stuff. I’m turning a lot of those down, but we getting open looks so I ain’t trippin.” Looking to make the right play every time, Edwards believes he has been very passive in the last two games. But now he might have a different approach going forward, “Sometimes the right play might be to just shoot it.”

Ant-Man reveals locker room mood after going down 0-2
In the previous series against Denver, the Wolves were on the winning end of the 2-0 lead as they won the first two games inside the Nuggets’ arena. But they also saw the Nuggets turn things around and even the series in the next two games. So, Anthony Edwards and Co. know that a comeback down two games is possible. With that mindset, Ant revealed that despite the two losses against Dallas, there is still hope in the locker room that they can come out victorious, “We’ve been here… I don’t think anybody in the locker room is panicking. I hope not.”
