The new NBA Champion and two-time gold medalist, Jayson Tatum, is winning at life! JT won his first NBA title, another Team USA honor, made the All-NBA team and was even on SI’s cover. He also welcomed his newborn this year. Father of two now, it is safe to say that JT’s priorities haven’t changed. “My mindset was not to sacrifice either. I was going to be the best father as well as the best basketball player,” he said in 2022. He is known for goofing around and spending quality time with his son Deuce on camera.

Tatum was in a relationship with his high school girlfriend, Toriah Lachell. The two welcomed their first child, Jayson Christopher Tatum Jr., popularly known as Deuce, shortly after JT’s NBA Draft. However, the couple separated. Regardless, the two of them share joint custody of their son, making sure that they are co-parenting Deuce. Almost 7 years later, Deuce is quite a celebrity among the Celtics fans. He’s seen attending most of his father’s games, spending time in the locker room, and sharing cute moments altogether.

About receiving constant support from Deuce, Jayson added, “I think being able to go through this journey together — because I was 19 when I got drafted — it’s kind of like we’re growing up together. As he’s gotten older, I’m going through my career, sharing these moments, experiencing this together as we grow up, I think it’s the coolest part for me.”

Deuce’s popularity rose during the NBA Bubble after he was seen masked up and cheering for his father sitting courtside. He has a lot of memorable moments with Tatum and also seems to be quite keen on learning basketball. After his Dad’s recent Olympic gold triumph in Paris, he was seen trying to hold up a champagne bottle which was nearly half his size! However, another revelation was made to the world while the fanbase viewed that picture.

Tatum and Mai have been rumored to be dating for about 4 years. They were first seen together in public back in 2020 and have since kept their relationship private. Ella Mai is a Grammy award-winning English singer. There were speculations about her pregnancy bump when she was seen celebrating the Celtics Championship with her alleged better half. About a month later, the rumors were confirmed, as JT was not only a two-time medalist but also a two-time Dad!

Many believe that the two might be secretly engaged. Well, Mai has kept her relationship from the public and has not confirmed any sort of rumors about the couple. She once brushed off talking about her dating life when she visited the Breakfast Club back in 2022. The host was hinting that the singer was “possibly dating a Boston Celtic.”

However, she stoically replied, “I’m a basketball fan, definitely. But you know, I’m not one to talk about my dating life.”

At this point in time, it doesn’t seem that the two are engaged, but have definitely made a lot of appearances together. Tatum and Mai attended Marcus Smart’s wedding, they have been celebrating each other’s birthdays, and have been to quite a lot of public events. Both are extremely successful in their careers and will definitely make for a power couple, once they confirm their relationship!
