Stephen Curry is the greatest shooter in the history of the NBA. He became the league’s all-time leader in three-pointers made last season. Steph has revolutionized the game of basketball with his alien-like shooting ability. From small kids to players in the NBA, everyone wants to have unlimited range, like Chef Curry. But there are very few players in the world who come close to Steph’s level. One of those players is Milwaukee Bucks superstar Damian Lillard.

Lillard moved up on the All-time three-pointers list after tonight’s game against the Indiana Pacers, inching closer to the 3-point King’s untouchable record.

The Milwaukee Bucks went head-to-head against the Indiana Pacers in tonight’s game. Damian Lillard had an impressive outing for the Bucks after his disappointing performance in the last game. He surpassed NBA legend Kyle Korver to become the 5th ranked player on the all-time three-pointers made list. Dame has hit 2,451 three-pointers in his illustrious career. However, Lillard is still 1,045 three-pointers away from reaching Stephen Curry’s record. The Baby-Faced Assassin has made 3,496 shots from beyond the arc in his 15-year career.

Considering Steph is still playing at an elite level at age 35, and Dame is only two years younger than him, it seems unlikely that the 7-time All-Star will ever be able to catch Steph’s record. The 4-time Champion is far from retirement, and he will continue to add to his insane total of three-pointers till he decides to hang his boots.

The only active player closer to Steph’s record than Lillard is former MVP James Harden. The Beard has 2,795 career three-pointers. All three superstars are in a similar age group, so it is safe to say that Steph’s record is secure for a few years.

Stephen Curry vs. Damian Lillard: Who is a more clutch shooter?

Although Stephen Curry is the best shooter in the NBA, Damian Lillard is neck and neck with him when it comes to clutch shots. Steph has surprisingly not made many clutch shots in his playoff career despite being the greatest shooter in the league. Until the 2022 playoffs, Curry had only made 2 out of 10 game-tying or go-ahead buckets in the playoffs. That gives him a success rate of just 20 percent. Meanwhile, Damian Lillard has proved time and again that he can deliver when the game is on the line.

Dame has a 10 percent higher success rate in his clutch shots during the playoffs than Stephen Curry. The Milwaukee Bucks guard might never break Steph’s three-pointer record, but many people would pick him to take the game-winning shot over the 4-time Champion.
