4-6! When it comes to going up against the Toronto Raptors, the Houston Rockets haven’t been able to lead the 10-game win record. However, with the exception of the matchup that took place back in February 2021, and February 2022, the Rockets have lost the rest of the games by very close margins, which vary from 2 points to 7 points. Therefore, going into the upcoming matchup against the Raptors, Jalen Green and Co. may be looking to give their best. Fortunately, doing the same will be easier with only one of their players dealing with a severe ailment.

According to the Houston Rockets Injury Report, Tari Eason is the only player who is listed under the “OUT” category. It was only two-and-a-half weeks ago when Eason sustained a concussion during a game against the Sacramento Kings. After the player secured a double-double (16 points and 12 rebounds) to win, getting injured would not have made the night memorable. Eason missed the next 2 games but returned to take on the Golden State Warriors. Now, the 23-year-old power forward will miss a 2 consecutive game due to left lower leg injury management. Having made only 14 and 2 points in the 2 games that he played against the Toronto Raptors, the player remains someone who has yet to prove his worth against the Eastern Conference franchise.

Speaking of the Toronto Raptors, their injury status is in a worse condition than the Houston Rockets. After all, they have not 1 but 4 players listed on their report. 3 are even “OUT” for the upcoming game. The report lists Davion Mitchell, the only player under a “Day-To-Day” status, as ‘Questionable’ for the upcoming game. Having sustained a right shoulder strain sometime ago, the point guard may very well end up missing his 2 consecutive game. Jakob Poeltl was diagnosed with a bilateral groin strain recently and has already missed out on the recent game against the Brooklyn Nets.

Poeltl joins Bruce Brown (knee) and Immanuel Quickley (elbow) in continuing to hold the ‘OUT’ status. Monday’s game against Chicago remains uncertain, though it’s positive news that he looked strong during practice Saturday. The team will continue to consider him day-to-day until they have more information to share.

In light of these updates, both teams will have to make adjustments to their starting lineups.

How will the starting lineup and depth chart for the Rockets-Raptors game look like?

In Tari Eason’s absence, Cam Whitmore, Jeff Green, and Jae’Sean Tate can see an increase in their on-court minutes. In 9 games, Whitmore has averaged 5.7 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 0.4 assists in an average of 9.1 minutes. The increased time can bring out a better scoring rate for him during the upcoming game.
