Tari Eason’s mom Teroya has been his numero uno fan since day one. If Tari has a game, you best believe Mama Eason will show up and cheer for her son and his teammates. She was there when the Rockets took down the Pelicans on Saturday and she was over the moon when she saw the comradery between her son and Alperen Sengun, the star of the show.

Sengun achieved a career-high of 37 points on Saturday night. In fact, it wouldn’t be an overstatement to say that the 21-year-old star carried the team with an impressive contribution of 11 rebounds and six assists. Taking to X, Teroya shared a video that sums up the chemistry among the teammates in the Rockets.

In the short clip, we can see Tari and Sengun, who are in a celebratory mood, approaching the interviewers with their arms around each other. Touched by this heartwarming display of brotherhood and love between the two, Tareya wrote, “Championships start with champs. Champs start from a solid team. A solid team is built from care.” The Rockets’ current roster hosts a lineup that is a mixture of veterans and young ins who appear to be getting along quite well.

It seems like everything is going well for the team. The young core is consistently improving, and the experienced players have made an instant impact. Furthermore, the team is in good hands with Head Coach Ime Udoka. He not only has a good understanding of the game but also has a great connection with his players, which is producing positive results. This team has a lot of talent, and the chemistry they have is only improving their chances of winning a championship, as Teroya rightfully points out.

There is no doubt that the Rockets are mostly a young team and are in the developing stage. But Coach Udoka’s entrance has greatly catalyzed this; he seems to have full control over the players as he exudes a sense of credibility among them. The team’s defense has visibly improved thanks to Udoko, who engendered a new culture of heightened attention and accountability on that front.

Currently, Houston is ranked 3rd in the Southwest Division. They appear to have settled into a rhythm after a difficult start to the season which included three straight losses. They host the Pacers on Tuesday for their first match-up of the season.
