However, it was Kyrie Irving who made some important plays and continued the lead for his team by joining Tim Hardaway Jr. in the final minutes of the game. Of course, Irving scored some baskets, but he truly played his position of point guard in Game 2 by keeping the offense on a roll. With a team-high record in the previous game, the Mavs guard made 11 assists.

Technically, instead of being dominative for the ball, Irving was quite unselfish. He trusted his teammates with the ball in some crucial minutes of the game and continued passing the ball. With such role-play in key games, Kyrie got back to the fundamentals of his position and read the game against OKC skillfully.

Overall, it was a team effort from the Mavericks that will need to continue against the Thunder and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in games ahead. SGA scored 33 points in the last game.
