Rarely do we see an NBA player?s parents outshine them in popularity. But LaVar Ball has been able to do so since 2017. Ball came into the spotlight when his eldest son, Lonzo Ball was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers. Since then, Ball gained plenty of popularity and traction on social media.
LaVar Ball is known for his outrageous comments regarding himself and his sons. But why is the father of LaMelo Ball comparing himself to an NFL legend who has taken up coaching?

Before his son was drafted, LaVar Ball was on TV shows, getting exclusive interviews. While many did not like his persona, others praised how he built hype around his sons, all the while building his own brand as well.
During his high school and college years, LaVar Ball played both basketball and football. After his college days were over, Ball was even a part of the NFL for a brief period of time. But even his teammates referred to him as garbage.
So, what makes Ball think that a comparison between him and Deion Sanders is valid? Recently, the father of the three professional basketball players sat down for an interview on Vlad TV’s YouTube channel.
That is where he revealed what aspects he compared himself to Coach Prime. Ball mentioned that no celebrity can relate to Sanders the way he can. He said, ?Because me and him got the same mindset as a father.?
?Coaching our kids and everybody coming at him on some positive but negative stuff. He doing what?s best for his family but what?s best for? he?s helping other folks too. That?s what people don?t understand.?

Is LaVar Ball in the right?
No matter the persona LaVar Ball dons, he has been an excellent father to his children. Ball managed to get all three of his sons in the NBA, one way or the other. Which just goes to show the amount of work he put in to make it happen.

Even though he did that by making wild claims, Ball was able to secure his sons? futures. And that is what Deion Sanders has been trying to do as well. Not only is he coaching his son for his future but he is also helping other kids be the best version of themselves.
