Nobody, and I mean nobody, expected the Milwaukee Bucks to stay in 14th at the start of the NBA season. Doc Rivers has his hands tied with multiple players who are unhappy, and the team has veteran players with no energy on the court. In the meantime, Giannis Antetokounmpo looks ready to pack his bags and leave the franchise for greener pastures. And guess what he said!
“As a leader of this team, your head cannot be down. You can be frustrated at times, for sure. I’m frustrated. If you’re not frustrated with losing, get the f**k out of here. Simple as that. But at the end of the day, we have another one in two days. We’ve got to be ready,” mentioned a furious Giannis. It’s safe to say the situation at the Bucks has turned some heads around. Moreover, Shannon Sharpe came in to give his views on Nightcap.
We could see him resonate with Giannis because he did the same in his career to become one of the greatest TEs of all time – Stay Sharpe! In addition, he wants his teammates to pump up the volume. But Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson believed the arrival of Khris Middleton could change the franchise’s fortunes. Sharpe, though, remains unmoved by that thought.

He gave his conclusions on Middleton returning from injury, which could boost the Bucks to turn around their fortunes. “He never gonna be the same. His knees, his ankles, he had too many surgeries in the last couple of years, Ocho. He’s not gonna be the same. He is older now, too,” mentioned Sharpe.
To give you a broader perspective, Middleton played 68 out of a possible 82 (regular season excluding playoffs) during the Bucks’ Championship run. After 2021, the player was featured in just 154 out of 246 games, playing only 33 games two years back. Those are not numbers from a player who you can put money on. Sharpe also believed Middleton wouldn’t be the same by comparing him to an NBA legend who takes care of his body!
Shannon Sharpe resonates with Giannis Antetokounmpo’s rant!
For a player to remain fit, he needs to take care of his body. It’s as simple as that. And LeBron James does that. Sharpe continued, “LeBron has never really had a significant injury. Knock on wood. So, therefore, you look at a lot of guys when they start to have those injuries Ocho, it gets harder to overcome that when you get older. Well, LeBron has never had anything like that and I pray he doesn’t.”

Despite 39, LeBron James never had an issue with his body. Middleton, just 33, had a lot of injuries, particularly to his ankle. It’s not easy to come back and play the same way, as Sharpe pointed out. With Giannis Antetokounmpo seeking another franchise to add to his personal trophy collection, there are some teams he can join to win another championship.
What’s your perspective on:
Is Giannis right to consider leaving the Bucks, or should he stick it out for loyalty?

One particular name standing out is OKC. Yes, Giannis and SGA, goodness gracious me!

Watch out, league. These two can terrorize the opposition, and the Thunder have many ways to bring him in. It would surely bring them a title, as they would automatically become the number one contenders. And with Giannis being just 29, the two teams will likely have a solid trade.
