Lonzo Ball came into the NBA with a lot of hype in 2017. His combination of size and skills made him a highly sought-after prospect, drawing interest from numerous teams. Another reason for Lonzo’s insane draft hype was because of his father LaVar Ball. His outrageous takes and unwavering confidence in his son’s abilities led to intense media scrutiny of Lonzo and LaMelo. After a shaky start to his NBA career, Lonzo established himself as a difference-maker for the Pelicans and the Bulls.
Recently, LaVar dissed Rich Paul in an interview for his involvement with Lonzo’s move to Chicago. LaVar didn’t like the move to the Bulls because he wanted to orchestrate a reunion with his brother, LaMelo.

LaVar Slams Lonzo’s Move to Chicago
In a recent interview with VladTV, LaVar expressed his feelings regarding Lonzo’s move to the Bulls. Lonzo signed a four-year contract worth $85 million with the Bulls in 2021. But LaVar believes that Lonzo was worth way more than his contract.
He said, “He’s a $100 million motherf**ker.” He further blamed Klutch Sports for underselling his son. He also said, “You’re making it look like you saved my son, but na”.
LaVar then describes wanting to pair Lonzo with his younger brother, LaMelo, at Charlotte. He said, “I didn’t want that deal. I wanted a lesser deal to do my move, and he didn’t attain it. I was like ‘Klutch if you could do whatever you can to get my son to Charlotte. Even if it’s for $10 million a year.”

This has led to his frustration because, when he was in charge, he created one of the most dominant teams in high school basketball.
