Miami Heat‘s forward Caleb Martin will get a player option this summer and will be open for trade. However, ‘the Difference’ does not want to opt out of his team, and is doing well on the team with star players like Jimmy Butler and Terry Rozier. In the last game against the Boston Celtics, Martin scored 21 points and 2 rebounds and took charge of the team.

Despite his good performance with the Heat in the playoffs, it is quite odd that Martin talked about trades, especially when he is not a free agent yet. When he was asked about his contract situation in his interaction with a Miami media house, he replied, “I will always want to be here.

But the Heat star player is aware that there is no guarantee for a smooth trail. Therefore, he further said, “There’s no telling what goes on down the road, but my priority is staying here[Miami Heat].”

Caleb Martin signed a 3-year contract worth about $20 million with Miami in 2022. According to the signed deal, Martin will be a free agent in 2025. However, the decision to stay on the team or go to another one is still in the air. Caleb’s performance has shone in critical time as Butler and Rozier are currently injured. The Heat’s forward is scoring important points for the team. Moreover, Martin also finished second in the MVP race in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Caleb’s numbers on the court are much better, which will strengthen his decision to play in Miami.

Coming to the regular season, Caleb Martin averaged 10 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.2 assists. Clearly, he has leveraged his game level and is having a blast in the playoff series. Even after such numbers, Caleb is unsatisfied and thinks he needs to be more explosive on the court. “We’re going to take the ones that are there. You play into their game plan if you hesitate to shoot, ” said the Heat forward on his offensive strategy against the Celtics.
