For a team that won the conference title last year, the Miami Heat are not doing so well during the ongoing regular season. Despite a commendable offensive effort from players like Jimmy Butler and Tyler Herro, the team has only managed to win 36 of their 66 games. There has, however, been progress, as the Heat have managed to win 5 of their last 10 games.
If they improve their momentum, they have a good chance of moving past the Indiana Pacers on the points table and increasing their odds of qualifying for the playoffs. To do so, the Heat will require the assistance of Herro, who has been absent from all 10 of those games due to an injury. A few hours ago, ‘NBA Front Office’ hosts Keith Smith and Trevor Lane discussed Tyler Herro’s recent injury, highlighting the news that the 24-year-old is set to be “reevaluated in one to two more weeks”. In the meantime, specific measures are being taken to bring Herro back on track.
“The report coming out of the Miami Herald is that the pain hasn’t subsided” revealed Keith Smith. “So on Friday, he had a PRP (platelet-rich plasma) injection in the foot to try to get things moving in a better direction.” Smith also claimed that the Hearld report stated the team hopes their player will return “before the end of the regular season”.

Tyler Herro has been suffering from medial tendinitis on his right foot for the past couple of weeks now. His latest injury is just amongst the long series of ailments developed by the young player not only during this season but over the last two as well. Despite his uncertain history, Keith Smith claimed that Herro is vital for the team’s success.
“When everything goes sideways for the Heat, it’s when they can’t score,” said Smith. “When they can’t put the basket, or ball in the basket, it all just falls apart……..so they need him back to give them that scoring boost”.

During the 36 games that he has played for the Miami Heat this season, Tyler Herro has managed to secure an average score of 20.8 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.4 assists to his name. This has placed him as the second highest average scorer of the team, right behind Jimmy Butler.
According to Statmuse, the Heat currently occupy an offensive rating of a 113.8, ranking them as the 7 worst and the 21 overall. Therefore, in order to gain an edge over their rivals, the Heat need as much support as they could get.
The biggest criticism against Tyler Herro is not towards his performance but his availability. With the Heat set to face off against the Pacers on the 8 of April, fans will be hoping that a revaluation clears the player before the crucial game.
