However, it’s not just their personal lives that the Youngs have made full.
Trae Young and Shelby give back to the Atlanta community
Trae and Shelby made a significant impact on their community this Thanksgiving. Partnering with local organizations, the pair made sure that families in need had something to celebrate. The couple teamed up with Second Helpings Atlanta, a nonprofit dedicated to rescuing surplus food and redistributing it to over 100 organizations across the metro area.
That wasn’t all, though!
In a heartwarming initiative, the Hawks star guard and his better half personally delivered approximately 800 pounds of food from Trader Joe’s to ‘Atlanta Mission,’ a shelter supporting over 1,000 individuals daily. Not stopping there, both of them stayed to serve meals to women and children at ‘My Sister’s House,’ an overnight shelter that provides a safe haven for the homeless.

Stressing the importance of giving back, Trae Young also expressed his happiness at being physically present for it all. “It’s always important every year to give back to the community, and especially during holidays. … Last time it was closed during COVID. So, I wasn’t able to go. So it’s cool, I get to do something and be in person this time around,” Young said, via Lauren Williams of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
The Youngs’ efforts serve as a powerful reminder that for all their success, Trae and Shelby remain deeply connected to their community!
