After a fantastic off-season, Stephen Curry is strongly anticipating the upcoming NBA season. Adding to their disappointing exit, the Golden State Warriors faced locker-room challenges last year. However, their new lineup seems to be on the right track. Despite Klay Thompson‘s contract set to expire next year, there’s a sense of reunion in their trio. What’s more, the Golden State Warriors are entering this season with a solution to last year’s gaps, achieved by bringing in Chris Paul. Moreover, their front office breathed a sigh of relief as they created more financial flexibility.
For over ten years, Chris Paul has been seen as a standout point guard in the league. When he finishes playing, he is undoubtedly securing a spot in the Hall of Fame. Yet, even with his seasoned experience, many raise doubts about GSW’s choice to acquire him. Most of these doubts revolve around the potential lineup of the GSW team and the specific role and position that CP3 will assume.

Steph’s thought on him playing #2 to Paul’s point guard role
As Curry oozed confidence in Chris Paul’s inclusion in the squad, Stan probed,?“I’ve seen a new version of death lineup being forecasted where you’re playing the two with Chris Paul at point guard. How does that affect how you prepare for the season, knowing you may be playing some more off the ball?”

By acquiring Paul, the Warriors choose experience over youth. Given that all their starts are 30 plus in age, it contrasts with the idea of surrounding them with supporting young players.
Despite being the oldest on their roster, Paul is coming off a promising 13.9 points, 1.5 steals, and 8.9 assists average last season. He also holds five assist titles and six steals titles.
