The All-Star guard continues to express his frustration with the front office, as his trade request to the LA Clippers remains unfulfilled. After practice, Joel Embiid answered questions about Harden’s non-attendance. The All-Star Center responded with humor before swiftly shifting the conversation. ?I didn?t know if anything was going on because he?s been here. He wasn?t here today,” said Embiid. He further added, “So obviously I think he probably had something important to do or something came up. But guys know what it is.?
The Philadelphia 76ers, whether Harden is present or not, are actively preparing for the 2023-24 season. They are set to face the Atlanta Hawks in their last preseason game on Friday, and Embiid intends to make his season debut during that match. Funnily enough, this isn’t the first time the MVP is in this position though.

Having been in a similar situation before, Joel Embiid knows how to handle off-court issues. Instead of criticizing James Harden for missing practice, he chose to focus on the team as a whole. This response is reminiscent of how Embiid dealt with Ben Simmons’s discontent in the past. Despite constant questioning, he remained composed and led by example.
With prior experience in such situations, Embiid and the 76ers should be well-equipped to deal with it. They understand that the NBA is a business, and unexpected events occur. Their focus remains on winning basketball games, as some things are beyond their control. How long do you think Harden’s antics will continue?
