Durant went on to say, “I advocated for him to take off marijuana from the banned substance list. I just felt like it was becoming a thing around the country, around the world. The stigma behind it wasn’t as negative as it was before. It doesn’t affect you in any negative way.”

The host was curious as to how KD persuaded the NBA Commissioner. Durant went on to say, “Well he smelt it when I walked in. So, I didn’t really have to say much. He kind of understood where this was going. It’s the NBA man. Everybody does it. It’s like wine at this point.”

With public sentiments changing on the substance, the Slim Reaper just wants the league to stay with the times. Much like KD himself has.
