Four-time NBA champion Klay Thompson is one of the most vocal players in the league. The Golden State Warriors veteran hardly refrains from speaking his mind about pressing issues about societal issues and basketball. In fact, he had called out 6-time NBA champion Michael Jordan while he was still a rookie in 2011.

Following this, the Chicago Bulls legend had given him a stinging reply. Interestingly, Thompson’s latest antics on social media might further annoy the billionaire NBA legend.

MJ and Scottie Pippen were a match made in heaven during their time with the Chicago Bulls. After all, they won two three-peats together while dominating the league during the 90s. However, it all went downhill a couple of years ago. Scottie Pippen released his memoir where he made some stinging claims about Jordan. Interestingly, Pippen had called Jordan a bad teammate among other things.

Recently, Klay Thompson took to his social media to talk about some of his basketball heroes. He shared an old photo of Pippen and NBA veteran Rasheed Wallace when the two played for the Portland Trail Blazers together. “My heroes”, wrote the Warriors veteran on his Instagram story. This comes just hours after he made a compelling claim about the upcoming NBA season.

According to him, the Dubs are ready to challenge for the NBA title after a disappointing campaign last season. “No championship hangover this summer, this is the best I’ve physically felt in years”, said Thompson on the NBA Radio Season Preview.

The NBA was going through a tumultuous period in 2011. The league went through a lockout which was a difficult period for both the owners and the players.

Michael Jordan, who was the owner of the Charlotte Bobcats, pushed for a larger share of basketball owners. Taking to Twitter, Thompson called the NBA legend a “straight hypocrite”. The rookie’s comments caught the attention of Michael Jordan. “Ultimately when these kids grow up and hopefully can get to my side of the table they will understand what my stance was”, said MJ as per the Washington Post.
