Zion Williamson finds himself back on the court after missing the entire second phase of last year’s NBA. He played just 29 games and missed 45. Surely displeased by it, Zion looks forward to having a memorable season this time.
A glimpse of Zion’s comeback was visible on Sunday, in their match against the New York Knicks. Having played for just 28 minutes, ‘Zanos’ scored 24 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists. Fans are excited to have him back. They believe that they have a genuine chance this time if the big man remains fit throughout. The power-forward opened up at the post-match conference and discussed various things.

In a video uploaded by the New Orleans Pelicans on YouTube, Zion sits in the post-match conference. A question shortly got directed to him, asking if it would take a few games to get back in form. The questioner also praised Zion for scoring three buckets in the third quarter of the game.
Zion, who is evidently getting his rhythm back, shakes off the rust with the help of fans. “I think I’ll have to do that for a series of games before I know if it’s (the rhythm) back or not and uh, honestly I haven’t felt the crowd since late December, so to be able to be able to feel that again, that was just natural,” said Zion.
The New Orleans Pelicans emerged victorious against the New York Knicks by a score of 96-87. Other than Zion, Brandon Ingram displayed a trustworthy performance. Coach Willie Green must be overjoyed with the boys’ run.

Staying Relevant Throughout The Season
Despite some heavy rosters by other teams, Pelicans fans believe they will go miles this season, provided Zion stays fit. The 23-year-old from Salisbury, North Carolina, was drafted by the Pelicans in the 2019 draft as the No. 1 overall pick. Since then, he has been a two-time All-Star. But the injuries are seriously concerning for the youngster. Having missed the entire 2021-22 season due to injuries was a major setback for him. Even after that, he missed out on 45 games last season.
However, Zion made some personal changes to his training staff. He is chiefly working towards remaining fit the entire season. The power duo of Zion and Ingram is definitely a concern for the rest teams. Let’s see if they live up to the expectations.
