The European soccer world got a jaw-dropping update recently. Paris Saint-German star Kylian Mbappe received an unbelievable $776M offer from the Saudi Arabian soccer club, Al Hilal. This humongous deal sent shockwaves through the soccer world. The ripples were also felt in the basketball court prompting some NBA players including Stephen Curry‘s teammate join the trend.

Following Kylian Mbappe’s unbelievable deal offer, players like Giannis Antetokounmpo and LeBron James appeared keen on signing deals with Saudi basketball franchises. Looking at the Frenchman’s offer, Curry’s teammate is happy to ditch his major Golden State Warriors deal.

Draymond Green shoots his shot

Draymond Green made an interesting decision this off-season when he opted out of his Warriors contract. While several fans believed he was just trying to lure a bigger contract, some felt he was on the move. However, he signed a whopping $100M contract to return to Dub Nation. While Stephen Curry and the Warriors were thrilled to have the former Defensive Player of the Year back, Mbappe’s offer seems to have changed his mind. 

In a hilarious tweet, Green was seen taking his shot at playing in Saudi Arabia. They got basketball leagues too right? I don’t the ink on my contract has dried up yet,” he wrote, suggesting a move to Saudi.

Green’s hilarious shot however was not the first that NBA players have taken so far. 2 time MVP, Giannis Antetokounmpo, along with the all time leading scorer in the NBA, LeBron James attempted to take their talents to Saudi Arabia too.

NBA players react to Mbappe’s major offer

Kylian Mbappe’s offer has the world taking notice. Since the offer became public, it has been the absolute center of attraction. Whether it was soccer players or basketball legends, everyone seems to want an offer from Saudi clubs.

While basketball in Saudi is nowhere near the level of the NBA, players still seem keen on taking their talents there, given the major deals that they seem to be offering. After Giannis Antetokounmpo hilariously stated that Al Hilal can take him because he looks like Kylian Mbappe, the NBA world has seen no end to the tweets coming in, requesting offers from Saudi clubs.

The King LeBron James too seemed keen on a Saudi contract. Despite signing a whopping $97M contract extension with the Los Angeles Lakers, James seems to have not ruled out a Saudi stint if the offer is made. The offer also drew reactions from Portland Trail Blazers star, Damian Lillard.

Joining The Chosen One was Draymond Green, saying the ink on his new contract with the Warriors has not dried up yet. However interested the NBA players may seem, it may not be likely that they would be going anywhere in the near future. With a long NBA season ahead, their attempts to lure offers from Saudi clubs may be too late.
