Damian Lillard is in a transitory period both personally and professionally. The stress of which makes its way to his verses, too. Giannis Antetokounmpo had to play only for 15 minutes and Damian Lillard for 22 minutes, in this preseason game in which LeBron once again sat out. Giannis scored 16 points, 8 rebounds, and 1 assist, while Lillard scored 14 points with 2 rebounds and 3 assists as the Bucks cruised to their victory.

Though this was only a preseason game, Damian was still feeling the ?pressure? of expectations. His Instagram post gives it away: ?So much pressure but you deal wit it? weight of the world on ya shoulders and you still lift it.? In fact, even in his last game for the Suns, when the rest of the team folded, he was the only one to show any resistance.

If LeBron is going to be conservative with his playing time, and if Darwin Ham is going to preserve him for the playoffs, then the regular season record would be on Anthony Davis. Is he ready to be the true leader who rallies his troops? If not, LeBron would have to step in again.

As for the Lakers, for all their offseason moves, their preseason games with LeBron and without LeBron have a stark difference in approach and mentality. And if this persists throughout the season, the King would feel the pressure just like Damian Lillard.
