The Indiana Pacers dominated the Saturday evening, restricting the New York Knicks to a 140-126 blow-out win. Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton came out on top with impressive stats, dropping 22 points with a whopping 23 assists. With that night’s performance, he equaled the record for the most assists by a Pacer in a game. However, the All-Star again took the center stage after the game with a banter on the court side.

Apart from that, he continued to generate points and helped the Pacers stay afloat in the Eastern Conference table. However, in the end, it was Haliburton whose 23 assists caught the attention, and also helped to clear a past feud.

Following the game, Tyrese picked up the mic for the post-game interview, and the host didn’t shy away from asking him about his interaction with a Knicks broadcaster after the game. And, the All-Star went on to share some light on his past feud. He added, “He [Knicks broadcaster] had some stuff to say last year. It’s all done and over with but it’s the first time I’ve seen him since then, so, had to say something.”

Here is the video clip of the interview.

With Haliburton’s historical game, the Pacers went on to claim their 17th win of the season.

However, let’s dig deep into past feud of the star.

While it isn’t clear whether Knicks studio commentator Wally Szczerbiak’s statement from last season was the past feud, it definitely had the potential to invoke a response from Haliburton.

In December 2022, Szczerbiak, former Knicks player and an All-Star, said, “supposed, wannabe, fake All-Star” and emphasized that Julius Randle and Jalen Brunson were All-Star worthy, reported Indy Star.

Notably, the article also reported that Szczerbiak apologized after Haliburton expressed his displeasure. Exactly a year later, the All-Star hit back at the Knicks broadcaster after leveling a franchise record for assists.
