After missing 24 games this season due to an ankle sprain, Beal is back in action. This is his eighth consecutive game since recovery, and the three-time All-Star didn’t disappoint. In a stellar performance, his season-high 37 points not only left fans in awe but also impressed his teammates. In a clip from the game, the 3x NBA All-Star almost left his opponent Reaves dancing on the court as he dribbled his way out.

Impressed by his game, Durant said, “He got to whatever he wanted. He was a screener, got to play in the pocket. (He) was able to knock down his catch and shoots off the dribble, in the mid range, off the dribble from the three and catch and shoot three.”

Talking about Beal’s move against Reaves, Durant shared, “He had Austin dancing. He had Austin leaning back a little bit off balance, and that’s always exciting,” he said during the post-game conference, “Brad’s one of the best players in the world, so to get an opportunity to see it from that close up and see a guy work every day and see who he truly is as a player and then you come out there and get moments like that, it’s always fun.

The Lakers had no answer to Beal’s 37 points, as their leading scorer was D’Angelo Russell with a meager 19. Devin Booker also showed off his offensive game as he bagged 31 points.

The Lakers’ efforts fall short as they succumb to the Suns’ dominance

LeBron James struggled on the scoring front, managing only 10 points on 3-of-11 shooting, with nine assists and five rebounds. The Los Angeles Lakers displayed commendable team depth with seven players reaching double figures, emphasizing their ability to spread offensive contributions. However, their 17 turnovers proved costly, allowing the Phoenix Suns to amass 28 points off the mistakes.

Despite a strong effort by the Lakers, the Suns, led by a standout performance from Beal, emerged victorious. Looking ahead, James and the Lakers are set to face the Utah Jazz, while the Suns will take on the Portland Trail Blazers in their upcoming games.
